Technical Sales Manager (Job Code: TSM-M4)

Job Overview:

We are looking for a candidate with extensive experience who will lead the Automation Solutions business of the company.The incumbent must have a proven track record of team and sales management skills and should be able to effectively manage countrywide sales teams, in addition to being responsible for building short and long-term business strategies along with the management.

Taking short term commercial views to deliver results and meet/exceed order plans on a quarterly basis is also critical for this role.


Differentiation and solution selling

  • Develop and position Emerson solutions as the preferred choice for customers.

Sales strategy and business development

  • Develop strategic plans with the management and global project heads to maximize business potential.
  • Identify new market opportunities and develop plans to engage customers. Actively participate in key account management.
  • Develop internal sales processes and ensure effective proposals, regular follow-ups, and successful closures.

Project pursuit leadership

  • Lead the project pursuits within the country.
  • Actively participate in cross divisional project pursuit teams

Field sales activities

  • Work with the Sales Team to protect and penetrate installed base
  • Target competitive accounts for market share gain.
  • Effective territory planning and sales team deployment.


  • Plan/Set annual budgets/targets and ensure business goals are met at the year-end closing.
  • Deliver regular updated analysis of business performance.


  • Expertise in instrumentation, including experience working with valves, regulators, flow meters & similar products
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Instrumentation Engineering. Additional MBA degree will be preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of field sales experience in the automation and process industry
  • Strong knowledge of customer base in Bangladesh

  • Sound knowledge of valves, regulators, flow meters, etc. is preferred
